Everyone Has A Story

Everyone has a story to tell and I know that I would want to enjoy reading about it in a good way. I know that I have a blogger app and in that I have been telling my story. How I feel, how I think and how I want to be remembered. I know that I want to be remembered as the guy who worked hard at his education. I want to be very practiced, very skilled and proficient in plumbing. I want to be accustomed to working like that and have my own incomes. I want to have a Red Seal papers and full driver's license. I know that I want to have everything I need to live, work and drive on my own. I hope that I could anyways.

I know that I have been living at Mawita'mk Society for twelve years. And I know that I could get my own truck by getting a job at We'koqma'q Tim Hortons or We'koqma'q One Stop. I know that I have been through a good amount of education.

I feel that I am enrichen with quality of life, education and job experience. I know that I want to have my full driver's license but I have to get my second transplant kidney. So, I'm hoping to get it soon. I know that the possibilities of getting my second kidney is endless. I know that I want to have my full driver's license and truck. But I know that I have to get a good job because I live at Mawita'mk Society, I could save up for a truck.

I feel safe where I live, safe and happy. But I know that I would want to move back home by driving my own truck. I feel that my hometown is getting better than before. I know that I want to have all my credentials, licenses and truck with my Red Seal papers and full driver's license, BA degree and a good job. I want to have a few job experiences before I do move back home. I know that I miss it as hell.

But I know that I have to enjoy my time here. I know that I have been enjoying my time with Mawita'mk Society and the Inverness Renal Clinic. I know that I want to return to the Inverness Renal Clinic triumphantly with my own truck. I know that I want to have my own business, truck and credentials to move out and live my life in Eskasoni. But I know that Eskasoni is a place where I couldn't really enjoy myself alone. I feel that home is deadly and I cannot make any contributions, connections or love there. I know that I have many enemies in Eskasoni. I feel like I'm trapped but safe. I know that I want to have everything I need to live, work and drive.

The right frame of mind or a question of sanity? What is gaslighting? A technique that makes you question your very perceptions of reality. What you have learned can be unlearned? What you thought reality was, is always ever changing dynamic world.

A ever changing dynamic world of ever paradigm shifting reality. A break of such deep psychological works of perception-shifting. A new day bring a new reality. In a way it's true because we sleep, we have dreams in REM. And we wake up to a whole different and new reality. Different ways to think creatively is how you'd multitask and see yourself. Everyone's inner world is different. But I know that I don't have any independence here because the paradigm is to make me think that I have self-sufficiency and self-discipline when I listen.

I know that I'm not that bright but knowledgeable in ways. I know that I'm not really using my influences in my life how I used to. I know that I'm seen as insane and no good. I know that I don't have any respectability for being a human being. I know that I'm diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic and I don't have a license.

I know that Shauna McKinnon is going back to her farming ways. Where she used to hunt, trap, fish and repair her equipment. I know that I watch a lot of APTN shows and everyone is going back to the fresh, natural foods movement. I know that we have hunters, trappers and fishers in the community. And I know that I want to go back to that survivalism where I could practice these life, survival skills. I know that I'm not that ambitious anymore. I feel like the ableism is at its maximum. I cannot enjoy independence like that because I'm disabled.

I know that there are viable options for the future of medicine. There are stem cells research for a fresh pair of kidneys. There are technological advances for an artificial implantable kidneys. And there are gene-edited pig kidneys that was tested in a human being. I know there are options for me to have choices in my future of nephrology.

I know that I have lived in the third millennium and the 21st century. I know that I'm in 2022 where there are many good options to test out. I know that there are regular transplantation with another human. I come from the second millennium and the 20th century. I know the 20th century started on January 1st, 1901 but there was a few significant events that have defined the modern Era. The Spanish Flu pandemic, World War 1, World War 2, nuclear weapons, nuclear power and space exploration. Nationalism, decolonization of Indigenous peoples, technological advances and the Digital Revolution. The Cold War and post-Cold War conflicts. These are a few to be a starter with the reshaping of the political and social structure of the globe.

It ended on December 31st, 2000 and we were recovering from massive transformations of the 20th century.
We saw massive transformations of humanity's relationships with the natural world. Global population, sea level rise, and ecological collapses increased while competition for land and dwindling of resources accelerated deforestations, water depletion, and the mass extinction of the many world's species. Decline in population of others, man-made global warming increased the risk of extreme weather conditions.

Intergovernmental organizations, cultural homogenization through developments in emerging transportation and communications technologies. Poverty-reduction, world population growth, awareness of environmental degradation, ecological extinction, and the birth of Digital Revolution. Automobiles, airplanes and the use of home appliances became common, as did video and audio recordings.

Great advances in power generation, most notably solar and wind and water power generations, Communications and medical technologies allowed for near-instantaneous worldwide computer communications and genetic modifications of life such as stem cells researches, artificial implantable kidneys or prosthetics that move like a real hand.

Signifying the beginning of the 21st century, it started on January 1st, 2001 and ends on December 31st, 2100. But signifying the beginning of the 21st century was a brand new day. The sun was shining and on the news was the rise of global warming, transformations like Globalization or global economy. Third world consumerism, Indian Residential Schools stories, TRC( Truth and Reconciliation commission), deepening global concern after terrorism on September 11th, 2001, increased private enterprise.

NATO interventions in Afghanistan and Iraq of the early 2000s on the news. Overthrowing several regimes during the Arab Spring of the early 2010s. It led to mixed outcomes into Arab World, resulting in several Civil Wars and political instability. These things have been on the news. Bragging that they are still the global superpower is the United States of America, while China emerging global superpower.

In 2017, 49.3 % of the world's population lived in "some kind of democracy" while only 4.5% lived in "full democracies". The European Union was greatly expanded in the 21st century, adding 13 member states, but the United Kingdom withdrew. Most European Union member states introduced a common currency, the Euro. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization(NATO) was greatly expanded in the 21st century, adding 11 member states. And this was all new.

Effects of global warming and the rising sea levels, exacerbated the ecological crises with eight islands disappearing from 2007 to 2014. Since early 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic began to rapidly spread worldwide, killing over 5 million people around the globe and causing severe global economic problems, including the largest global recession since the Great Depression.

But with the current proliferation of mobile devices, I feat that more than half of the world's population has obtained access to the Internet by 2018. After the success of the Human Genome Project, DNA sequencing services became available and affordable.

From 1985 which I was born, to all these significant events in the world which has impacted my life through Globalization and cultural revivalism and protection. I know that with The Indian Act which I know its real.

I know there was three White Paper from Pierre Trudeau, Indian Residential Schools, Indian Day Schools, Colonialism, stereotypes, decolonization of Indigenous peoples, Violence against Indigenous women and girls, Sixties Scoop, Millennium Scoop, just to name a few with Indigenous sovereignty and realities. I know that the 1752 Peace and Friendship Treaties are what makes my province work. The non-indigenous are making steps towards Truths and Reconciliation. I know that Intergenerational impacts of my fathers and survivors is something that I have to live with.

I'm a 36 years old Mi'kmaq man. And I know that I'm a Certified tradesman who is Certified in driving and trades. Educated by Nova Scotia Community College's Adult Learning Program through School of Access. I know that I have been through a lot of good things here in We'koqma'q community.
